Yesterday I went to Tori no Ichi market at Hanazono shrine. The line was insane! The atmosphere was fun. I definitely will be going to a different shrine next year though.

Yesterday I stopped by Aoyama Itchome to see the Ginkos! It’s been 10 years or so since I’ve been. Long ago it was a little busy. Yesterday the crowd was similar to Sakura on the Meguro River!

Dinner tonight Miso pork with pan fried potatoes and onions with sautéed Japanese turnip leaves . Kinpira Gobo Roasted Japanese turnip Fried eggplant and wakame miso soup Rice Sadly I ran out of sesame seeds to garnish.

This month’s antique market haul. Two Higasa, three Kimono tanmono, a Tenugui, a serving dish. And a heko obi that looks like a Kaku Obi! I go consistently each month that vendors have started bringing items they think I would like.

In Kawagoe today. Found a traditional footwear shop. The owner was nice and was willing to make geta on the spot for my monster feet and I could choose the cord colours. 87 year old shop 3rd gen owner (grandson)
