The falling fertility rates have been described as a public health problem. I have the opposite position, it is actually a public health solution. Over-exploitation of resources is eased, overcrowding and the associated health issues are eased, pollution decreases. Am I off about that?

Nebraska, we don't hear much from them. They have had three cases of tularemia, presumably from tick bites, up a great deal from 6 cases in the last 10 years. They also report a couple of cases of animal rabies.

So, they have found Ehrlichia chaffeensis in Connecticut ticks, apparently a first. Thanks to disease surveillance and scientists that don't mind handling ticks! Not surprisingly they can cause Ehrlichiosis, which I know nothing about. The clinical types can see the link below for Sx and Tx.
