This is some fucking bullshit. Leave it to ol' Whiskey Pete to list 20+ Christian denominations and lump all of Judaism together. Pretty sure that Reform Jews and Hasidic Jews are as different as Catholics and Evangelicals. Not that I'd expect him to know the difference.

I think part of it is also not subverting God's will. Like sure, hurricanes are a thing, but God is in control. If you don't want disasters just pray them away; if that didn't work than you probably deserved it, and who are you to second guess God Almighty?
