I’ve been on a Gunpla and personal video gaming break over the past week since it was my wife’s birthday. We’ll hit our 18th wedding anniversary later this week too! We had a great time traveling, playing Slay the Spire II co-op, building Legos (like this Lovebirds set), and ofc lots of eating. 😅

I went to one of my local hobby shops today and saw: MGSD Destiny MG Full Armor ZZ Ver. Ka MG Wing Zero EW Ver. Ka MG HM Psycho Zaku Ver. Ka MG The O HG Penelope, Baund Doc, etc. ...and I walked out of there with nothing. Pretty good self-control, but MAN am I still thinking about a few of 'em! 😂

I haven’t started my RG Epyon yet (been busy!), but I’m gonna put these water slides on my SDCS Calibarn first. This is one of the few kits I never topcoated, so perhaps subconsciously I knew I’d eventually do this. 😊 Also, can’t remember who it was, but ty to the fellow user who showed me these!

Wow, this game is legit! I'd heard about Gundam Wing: Endless Duel (Super Famicom) on a recent retro gaming podcast, so I checked out the English fan translation. What a delight! Surprisingly well made from a time when good licensed anime games were the exception rather than the rule. #videogames

Build #5: MG Gundam Exia Ecopla Completed: 1 Jan 2025 Rating: C Decent, but I broke an elbow piece panel lining ABS, stickers + black plastic = awful, and parts seem to fall off just looking at it. 😅 I love the Ecopla concept though. Gunpla's so wasteful when it comes to plastics. #gunpla #plamo

Finished the HG Guncannon (CDI Ver.) today! I said this about the RE/100 Vigna Ghina II, but despite the fact that I don’t really like working with hard, red plastics, they sure look terrific once topcoated. This was a fun, solid kit and I like the different backpacks and weapons! #gunpla #plamo

I played & finished If Found... (2020) this morning. What a wonderful & important VN that hit all the right notes emotionally. I thought the story, characters, and sketchbook-style art were beautifully done. The soundtrack was particularly good too. 9/10 #pcgaming #indiegames #dreamfeel #2mello

After the Switch 2’s recent boost mode update, which lets you run Switch 1 games in handheld using the docked profile, it’s like most of the back catalog got remastered. Screenshots are limited to 720p, but seeing most games now at or closer to 1080p native like Xenoblade X DE has been fantastic!

Went back in time to play the first Road Rash on the Sega Genesis (1991). I didn't play this one much at all when I was younger, probably because I preferred games like Out Run and F-Zero, but this is surprisingly fun & responsive, even with its choppy framerate. Good stuff! #16bit #videogames

MAR10 Day reminds me that when I was 12, I wanted a Sega Master System instead of an NES. The reason? I saw an ad for it with a Cobra Command cart, so I assumed it would play LaserDisc games. Yep. 😅 So for Xmas '86, a Master System is what I got. Small library by comparison, but I still loved it.

I recently got into idle/incremental games, and of course I had to try Cookie Clicker. I heard about it years ago, but a game where you "click to make cookies" sounded silly. A month later, and I'm at about 80% or so. It went from cute and interesting to surprisingly deep, active, and fun! #idlers

I’m finally going through Atari 50: The Anniversary Collection on Switch and this section really hit home. A tale as old as time. And very little has changed. More positively though, I absolutely LOVE these collections of video game history. The Atari 2600 was our very first console. #videogames

I don’t have anything for Pokémon’s 30th anniversary except for this basic Pikachu I drew a while back. It’s almost embarrassing to share given the talent I see here, but it is what it is. 😅 I also haven’t really played any Pokémon games since Arceus, which I liked but never finished! #pokemonday

There’s been a lot of talk about the paid Switch 2 update for Xenoblade Chronicles X DE. While I do notice the shimmering and lack of good antialiasing, my old eyes just fail to see in person what the AI upscaling is doing to its textures. Yay for middle age. 😂 #consolegaming #nintendo #switch2
