Tried removing my CPU's old thermal paste and accidentally got a bit on the pins. Cleaned it with a toothbrush dipped in alcohol and I'm hoping I got it all out or I've got one dead CPU in my hands. 🥲

Okay, I finally figured out why my CPU was frequently ramping up and it had to do with a deeply hidden CPU setting that required editing the registry to show up and disable. Now even if I rapidly bring up Spotify or scroll through something like ebay, my CPU temp stays in the mid 50s. ✨

Reinstalled Windows 11 for now since I realized I can't commit to Linux at the moment due to a few work deadlines that'd get derailed with possible tinkering. Now my CPU temps somehow keep ramping up and down at the slightest bit of action. Thanks Microslop! 🫠

I've mostly been manga only with One Piece so certain moments don't feel as emotionally impactful as they should to me, that being said the live action Chopper backstory just had me ugly crying, my pure boy. 🥲

I have to spend today converting my Photoshop animated emote templates to Clip Studio. I'll surely be extra familiar with Clip's animation setup after all this. ✨

Still can't bring myself to upgrade to Clip Studio EX. I wish they'd split the manga and animation suite to help bring down the price. That said, I also can't upgrade to 5.0 until I'm sure it can run okay on Linux since I might try CachyOS next time. 👀

I'll sadly have to switch back to Windows as my main for now. With the help of friends, I managed to get my Ampligame D6 and Clip Studio working but CSP was too clunky for me that I can't work properly in it. I did manage to get this sketch done though, with a LOT of struggle. 🥲

Me deleting Krita and all Adobe products from my system so I can just main Clip Studio Paint and Aseprite once and for all. Then CSP deals me this card because I switched installs too much while trying to get it to work on Linux. 💧

Well, I have a lot to tinker around with it seems but so far the biggest problem I've encountered is my (not) Elgato Streamdeck, the Ampligame D6 doesn't have Linux drivers and isn't supported in Opendeck. 💧

Should I dual boot Linux Mint for the time being to test the waters or is it better to just dive in completely once my work queue is complete?

I probably should have gotten Aseprite outside of Steam all those years ago because I can't be on the Steamdeck and Aseprite at the same time without being offline on one device. 💧

Well, looks like Adobe Animate is at end of life so I'm going to have to definitely pivot my pipeline and alternate lesson content. CSP (or maybe Krita?) and Aseprite is surely one half but I'm wondering if I should make the other half with DaVinci resolve or Godot?

I tried watching Morbius a couple of days ago just to see how bad it really was and I stuck through almost all the way to the end but got so fed up that I fast forwarded through the final battle. I'm never ever going to Morb again.

Tried using ShaderGlass (mausimus.itch.io/shaderglass) to see how one of my videogame simulations would look like and it's pretty cool! 💖 This is just the default shader too, there's so many more to play around with!

I got burnt out by the back to back all nighter projects I pulled that I had to spend two days just rotting with Escape from Duckov. That game has such an addicting gameplay loop but I think I'm free from it now after immersing in it too much.

I think I'm finally done with this little Godot project. A lot of band aid code near the end just to get it all done but "perfect is the enemy of good" as they say.

Spent the whole day fixing parallax issues and setting up the title screen to this project. I'm almost done with everything though. I think at this point with Godot, I've gotten to the same level of proficiency I had with Game Maker all those years ago, if not slightly exceeded.
