I dug around my house for days looking for my old Sony CD-Mavica, but alas. I will have to purchase another one from eBay or something... I still have a spindle of CDs to use with it...

My first official post for #shittycamerachallenge. I got my hands on a #kodak #Zi6 circa 2009-ish. I had one once and loved it, but it has vanished, so I just got another. These things can shoot shockingly good photos, and with some curves and a little sharpening you can make it look great.

Thing is, I love #photography of stuff that people can see every day, but never look at and appreciate. I have pointed out to kids stuff that the didn't see... I love snakes, and I always have to point them out. My favorite was a snake that tried to scare people with a fake rattle by tail wagging..

Here's what the first photo in that batch looked like before editing, straight from the camera. And the edit I guess to compare. My edit isn't realistically colored, but the camera shot this WAY greener than reality. Everything comes out too warm, honestly...

I found another contender for the #shittycamerachallenge: the Vivitar DVR508NHD. I forgot to take a picture of it... It seems to actually shoot at 8.1MP, but everything else is garbage, honestly. BUT I think it's actually is pretty good for #b&w shots... Grainy and high contrast ...

Another possible contender for the #shittycamerachallenge: the 3DS. - 640x480 resolution. - front and back facing cameras - 3d images (there's some apps I think that can rip both images from the 3d image format, and if not I can probably swing it myself)

Today's #shittycamerachallenge photos. I know it's not officially time yet, but I think I'm obsessed. Same toy camera as the last few posts. I've found the best approach is to just drag sliders WAY farther than I normally would and it makes the flaws come off like style instead...

I bought 3 of these things cause the first one broke almost instantly. Shutter button doesn't work. All of these shots are from #2. I might attempt to gut the broken one and see if I can dump the data to see if i can hack this thing to spit out something more useable.

It took me three full beers and a few sips of a fourt to get my #32bit laptop dev environment set up, #raylib compiled and my own #indiedev game repo cloned and compiling... Now I just have to make more than wip art and a menu...

Holy fuck, how do programmers get shit done on windows at all? I spent two hours trying to get my shit to a point where it would just compile and my battery is now almost dead and I have gotten fucking nothing done.

I usually code on Linux where my editor is like a dozen mb and my compiler is frequently like a few hundred MB of files. Installing visual studio and it's gonna eat 9+ gigs after turning off several things. We have managed to make a text editor that wouldn't have even fit on a hd 40 years ago...

Like 4 days and I have a "rest of my life" project now...

I just used #ziglang to compile raylib for the first time. The library, headers, and examples all compiled in about a couple minutes (200+ examples). I didn't do anything except download the compiler, add it to #$PATH, and clone raylib and just hit "zig build" in cmd. Color me impressed...
