Here is a controversial take.... growing plants in water, without soil ( #hydroponics ) is #aquaculture!!! I can can grow fish, shellfish and even algae and nobody would have an issue but when its a vascular plant, people seem to take issue. Check out my #greenhouse!

I am always looking for new methods to share my #aquaculture activities. I hosted a #sturgeon #Caviar and #Champange event at the Robert Mondavi Institute. Instead of producing a video I brought in a graphic artist (www.graphicrecordingstudio.com) to record the event in real time.

The day before #Aquaculture America 2025, I was giving a tour of a #fishfarm and "supervising" the transport of white #sturgeon. #Fish transportation is one of the most stressful activities for fish and good #animalwelfare during this process is critical for fish health.

My First Post!!!! After flight delays, I finally made it home from #Aquaculture America 2025 in NOLA. Thought I'd share some off my labs activities from the conference. We gave 7 talks, presented 1 poster, chaired 2 sessions, won 1 award, and ate tons of farmed #seafood. How was your meeting?
