I just spent 2 hours laid in bed trying out new goal tracking apps. All either don't offer what they say they do without paying or are very complicated. Think I'll stick with my paper planner. Yeah, it doesn't make pretty graphs and is more work constantly to write out, but maybe that's better.

Lidl shop done, I haven't exactly meal planned for the week (I have vague ideas) so that was the most eclectic basket of food.

I have designated Wednesdays to relaxing. There is no exercise on Wednesdays, there is no evening studying, no balancing budgets or to do lists. It's nice to have something to look forward to in the middle of the week rather than feeling I have to get through to the weekend 😌

Not enjoying this insomnia. I'm struggling to pin down an exact reason for it so that I can try and fix it. I can get off to sleep but waking up constantly. Tonight I'll try the wind down teas to see if they help.

Popped into the art gallery today. It's the last day of an exhibition that I wanted to catch. There was a piece of art that made me so emotional. It's the river I live by with all the bridges and old industries. Carved out of wood with the waterways made of sea green acrylic. It's beautiful.

After Lidl and the library it was back home to batch cook: •Chicken casserole •Butter chicken w/rice •Breakfast burritos •Lemon & herb pork w/vegetables •Chicken Sausage with roasted squash & beluga lentils

Took my books back to the library and promised myself I wouldn't look around for more. However, there was this very helpful display right near the desk of things I might want to read, and who was I to turn that down? 😁 #BookSky

There was a light dusting of snow for my walk to lidl first thing. It'll be gone by the end of the day i expect. Bought myself some nice flowers because a patient was so awful to me yesterday I was shaking after I ended the call.

I think I might have insomnia 😕 awake since 3am. But I discovered the rail sale and just bought a month of train tickets. It ends on the 12th of Jan, so I'll buy some more later/tomorrow

Turns out trying to keep yourself small to not piss people off, pisses them off. But also turning your magic all the way the fuck on also pisses them off 🤔

Settled down to do a chunk of an open university free course that says takes 5hrs. Figured I could do about 90mins today. I finished the whole course in that time. My new diary has my upcoming course planned out, and time blocked for the next two months 😐 it's going to be wrong/messy isn't it?

I think I might have said this last year, but this coming year, my resolution is to get this TBR pile gone (or at least these 9 books off it). The same books have sat there for a year, and I've not touched one of them. Instead, I've been using my library app a lot.

Definately went a bit too much at yoga last night and this morning.

Popped a pie in to cook and figured I'd do some yoga while it was cooking. I do not recommend this, trying to hold a difficult pose while all you can smell is delicious pie is not easy 😁

Had a terrible night of not much sleep and lots of pain. Managed to go over at 5am and just woke up to a message from my friend cancelling our plans today. The relief!
