I finished Gundam Wing a few days ago and I will say, it’s like, the least Gundam of Gundam shows. Gundam usually shows war as something bad and Wing shows war as something incredibly romantic, which is very much the point but there’s very little of “the juice” in Wing.

Using CRT effects? Settings room to render correctly by using more horizontal pixels. Optimal sampling really changes the way the effects act in a way that's not authentic. Even if you're using sharp HDMI sources, more horizontal pixels gets you closer to the intended effect.
