It’s getting warmer and soon the snow will be gone. We’re glad we enjoyed it while we could ❄️

After 3 weeks away, we returned to our winter cottage in the countryside. It seemed like a slow day while checking the garden, but then it was time to enjoy the snow and go sledding 😁 We ended the evening by the fire, getting cozy and enjoying the lovely atmosphere. All Christmas family visits are behind us and now we can finally relax again 😃

Christmas won’t be snowy here as usual, but at least we managed to enjoy some snow while it was still here ❄️

This year instead of buying another little tree in a pot we pruned some of the conifers in our garden and we used the branches for our Christmas Bouquet 🎄 A new Christmas tradition is born 😃

Today we start outside on a quiet winter trip, visiting a beautiful palace, and enjoying nature and the Christmas atmosphere with snow. Later, we come back home - decorating, enjoying our Christmas sweets, turning on the lights, and enjoying cozy time at home. Watch here: youtu.be/Pkga5n3CBH0

What a magical winter sunset in the woods ❄️

Christmas is coming and we’re slowly getting into the Christmas mood. Peter decided to try a traditional Slovak Christmas cake that turned out to be more difficult than expected. We went on a day trip to enjoy some winter weather in this snowy forest ❄️

In the meantime, all the leaves on our trees are gone. Only some leftover apples are trying to hold on, creating nice natural decorations 🍎

We went to explore the eastern side of Kefalonia and it turned into one of the most surprising days of our trip. We discovered surprising caves hidden in plain sight and even found a place where one of us couldn’t resist going for a swim. Watch here: youtu.be/YPBz-AWdtr0

This little beach was perfectly shielded from the windy weather that was following us all day so we both wanted to use the opportunity and jump in to extend our streak of daily swimming during our vacation 😁

We love exploring ruins because there are so many cool rocks to sit on 😃

We had heard of a dark cave in Kefalonia and decided to explore it. Ladder, darkness, bats, spider webs and all. Grouspa Cave was definitely an adventure we'll never forget. Later, we walked around the town of Argostoli and checked out a small hidden beach. Watch here: youtu.be/QrjNbKmjPAA

Fteri beach in Kefalonia might not be easy to get to, but it’s definitely worth the short hike 😍

We set out to visit a beach that looks almost too perfect to be real - turquoise water, white pebbles and dramatic cliffs. Exploring Mount Ainos National Park in Kefalonia close to sunset was a very special experience ⛰️

We wanted to spend the day in the mountains of Kefalonia (Greece), but Mount Ainos was covered in clouds in the morning. So we went to look for a secret beach instead. The beautiful town of Assos 🇬🇷 We had to wait for the sun to show up to bright up the colourful houses and the sea, but it was worth it at the end 😊

On our second day in Kefalonia, we went to Myrtos Beach - the island’s most famous spot, with turquoise water and steep white cliffs. It is our annual tradition to travel someplace warm in autumn. This year we chose the island of Kefalonia which is one of the Ionian Islands on the western side of Greece. We revisited the Valeč chateau after several years. It’s always nice to visit familiar places to see how it has changed over time.
