For this year's Civics Week theme, the Department of Social Studies and Civics is acknowledging the celebration of America's 250th anniversary. Voices Then, Voices Now, invites young people to draw inspiration from the many voices throughout US history that have made our democracy possible.

Last week we had the pleasure of hosting PL across 4 boroughs for 126 teachers to dive into Mikva Challenge's Project Soapbox Curriculum to prepare to engage their students in public speaking that calls on young people to speak out on issues that affect them & their communities! #civicsforall
