"Green Lane" stout from Cloudwater. They describe it as a step on the journey to perfecting a stout recipe, and to be honest it's not their best work. It's ok, but lacks a bit of body. Still better than a lot of others though... #BskyBeet

"Summit About Nothing" single hopped pale from @8sailbrewery.bsky.social . It tastes and looks a bit like a dialled-back Chouffe or similar. It's absolutely perfect for a summer beer, and at 3.4% it's ideal for a session. #BskyBeer

"Best Bitter" from @8sailbrewery.bsky.social is, yet again from these guys, a quality beer. They describe it as a "no-nonsense best bitter" which is a fair description but doesn't mean it's not interesting. Great stuff. #BskyBeer

Happy July 4th to friends from the US. From @8sailbrewery.bsky.social , an American East Coast-style pale ale. Nicely bitter, with an orange-peel tang and grapefruit finish. As ever from these guys, really good. #BskyBeer

My Waitrose beer excursion was inspired by finding Arbor in the wild when I popped in for a sandwich. I picked this one up yesterday, a collab with Hook Norton. To my clunky taste buds it's like a westie crossed with a more traditional English ale. Good stuff. #BskyBeer

I found myself in Waitrose yesterday in Saffron Walden. Their beer selection was superb and I will return for more (work takes me to SW a fair bit). This is an absolutely superb lager, with a lovely finish that lingers just enough. Deserving of my 46 year old stein! #BskyBeer

"Super Super Happy" IPA, a "Supercharged" brew from Cloudwater. It's all about freshness and you can taste it. Excellent again. #BskyBeer

Cloudwater x Shapeshifter "Trace the Horizon". Featuring a yeast strain called "Mango Madness" apparently, this is a bonkers pale that (unsurprisingly) slaps you with mango, ends with lime, and squeezes slightly funky NEPA in the middle. (Very nice, by the way.) #BskyBeer

Cloudwater "Cherry Sour Breeze". Definitely cherry, not particularly sour (at all). Very nice on a hot day. #BskyBeer

Next beer is "Twin Peaks" Anglo-American pale from @thornbridge.bsky.social . Reviewed before (I think). Still great. #BskyBeer

I went for Cloud water from Brewser this month. "The Ritual Continues" DDH pale. An absolute banger full of stone fruit, amazing on the finish. At 5% it's fairly sessionable too. #BskyBeer

It was my birthday on Tuesday, and my dad didn't let me down. A mixed case of @8sailbrewery.bsky.social goodness. Not the weekend yet, so a very sessionable "Ploughman's Lunch" EPA. I love this brewery, and this is a great one to revisit. #BskyBeer

Jack's birthday today, so a family fine dining experience at the marvellous Lambard's in Harwich with these two lovely people. Six courses, expertly paired with perfect wines. (Obviously Jack didn't drink six glasses of wine!)

Harlow returned 5/5 Conservative County Cllrs, and all 11 of their district wards saw a Tory elected. The town seems prime Reform territory- deprivation across many indices etc. The council has been able to tell a narrative of regeneration, showing improvements on the ground. Lessons for UK gov.
