It's been announced that Associate Dean of Research and Postgraduate Education for CALS and CDAE Professor, Asim Zia, will be inducted as a Fellow into the National Academy of Public Administration on 11/2. He's only the second Vermonter to be inducted into this prestigious national organization!

At the @uvmvermont.bsky.social Proctor Maple Research Center in Underhill, Vermont, researchers and maple syrup producers have worked together for over 75 years to advance the science – and art – of turning sugar maple sap into syrup.

On 3/17, CALS hosted the Governor of VT Phil Scott at the CREAM barn for a video shoot for National Ag Day. Though the facility is currently discouraging the petting of the cows for biosecurity reasons, the cows know when a local celebrity is in the barn, and they gave Scott a moo-ving greeting.
