Got some ‘Assai’ vouchers from my son & his family for Christmas and finally bagged myself a copy of this, so
#nowplaying
is ‘Power, Corruption & Lies’ by New Order. Another off of my ‘want’ list, although it gets longer rather than shorter.

The football on mute again on the TV tonight so I thought I’d give this classic a blast, so
#nowplaying
is ‘Separates’ by Nine Nine Nine. Brilliant album. Came with a free 12” ‘Waiting/Action’ which I will have to fire up again soon.

I’ve got the football on mute on the TV and I’ve not played this for ages so
#nowplaying
is ‘New Gold Dream’ by the mighty Simple Minds. It was my favourite of theirs when it came out, but with hindsight I feel they peaked before this.

Two completely contrasting gigs at the weekend. Friday at the Armadillo was ABC with the Lexicon Orchestra and Saturday was Hue & Cry at the Lemon Tree. Both fantastic gigs for different reasons. The orchestra backing for ABC was outstanding and the intimacy of Hue & Cry was brilliant.
