I think I'm finally throwing in the towel on my crusade to educate ppl – even meteorologists, who should know better – on when to use “high” or “low” (for temperature) and when to use “hot”, “warm”, “cold”, etc. (for the ambient conditions).

Tomorrow is the first of September, which some count as the first day of autumn – and here in the Santa Clara Valley of California we have blustery breezes blowing fallen leaves 🍁 🍂 down the street in 93°F temperatures. Best to hold off on the cozy sweaters, hot drinks and pumpkin-spice everything.

Watching an old (Season 7) episode of the British Baking Show and they are making churros. It's driving me crazy, though, because the Brits keep using “churros”, with an “s” as singular.
