Sheinbaum preemptively agreeing to Trump’s Remain in Mexico paints her in an opposite light to the anti-Trump champion that some US liberals would hope her to be.

To be credible, Latin America's anti-imperialist left should have lashed out (just as it does vs Trump's deportations) at Mexico's immigration control policies, such as when AMLO reimposed visas on Brazilians, Venezuelans, Ecuadorians & Peruvians at the request of the US.
