I don’t normally listen to the “Classics” episodes but this one is close to home—both geographically and personally. My mom’s parents lived in Vanport briefly but left before the flood. The original presentation of this episode is also how I learned about some of Oregon’s history of racism. 😞

I just gave myself an injection for the first time ever. I’ve been prescribed Zepbound for weight loss. I probably should have done it before immobilizing my left arm (to keep myself from exacerbating my hand damage). I figured out how to do it one-handed, though, and it didn’t hurt at all.

Out for a walk. As a True Oregonian, I use my umbrella when it’s sunny.

Today marks five years of Chewbacca being part of my family. When I adopted him from the Multnomah County Animal Shelter on this date in 2021, his shelter name was Queso and he was scared and angry. Five years later, he’s content and needy. I’m glad he’s part of my life. #CatsOfBlueSky
