After a quieter time at Spurn, spent my last evening watching waders on the falling tide. Bar t Godwit, Grey plover,Knot, Sanderling, Curlew Sand., Little Stint, Dunlin and Ringed Plover.

The only bird of note yesterday was an Icterine Warbler but only brief views. The Common Rosefinch was much more showy this morning. Unfortunately the light was poor for photos.

Just one bird of note at Spurn today, a Blyth's Reed Warbler in the nets,my second lifer of the year. (3 Bee-eater were still in the area)

With Turtle Dove and Glossy Ibis the best at Spurn yesterday with several spotted flycatchers around,0β°9 this morning produced another Turtle Dove and very good views of 1 Bee-eater going south, unfortunately the 22 seen over Easington,decided not to come through Spurn.

Decided to come to Spurn in July for a change,well worth it.5 sp.of tern in 1 day +lots of Little Gull. Topped off today with 3100+Swift. One of my bucket list fulfilled.

Disappointed the ortolan Bunting did a runner yesterday at Wykeham Forest, but did get distant views of Honey Buzzard and Goshawk+6 Nightjars and 2 Woodcock in the evening.

Common migrants have been slow at Portland,but waking up to see 2 ring ouzel outside the van and then my 5th Hoopoe for the year, with my first photos with its crest up has more than made up for that.πππ

Finally got to see the long- billed Dowitcher on Exminster marsh, showing well by the end of the canal. Also the White fronted Goose by turf, unfortunately it didn't hang around for a photo.
