North Iowa, Southern Minnesota. A nasty line of storms with 70-75 mph wind potential is moving in with a history of producing brief tornadoes. A couple confirmations recently. This part of the line is moving ENE at about 55 mph.

An absolutely gnarly bowing segment pushing through NW Iowa with a history of wind gusts to 75 mph and a couple active tornado warnings. As of 8:50 PM, this storm is moving east at 55 mph. Be prepared for widespread winds and spinup tornadoes out ahead of it.

7th Tornado confirmed from Thursday, April 23rd's severe weather. A short-lived EF0 north of Winterset, IA. This one had a peak estimated wind to 75 mph doing damage to a barn, trees and toppling a 5th wheel camper. The NWS says additional tornadoes are not expected from this event.

Two years since 29 Twisters tore their way across Iowa. It's the 3rd most on record in the state in one day. This tornado was one of four EF3 tornadoes that day in western Iowa. This tornado devastated Minden and just missed Harlan before dissipating.
