Firing up another Christmas movie on this Friday night after a full moon week after being off last week for Thanksgiving. Will I make it through the whole movie without falling asleep??

I'm watching Christmas in Rockefeller Center right now and Brad Paisley is performing and it's just weird seeing him sing something other than the national anthem. And apparently this show goes 3 hours which is almost like an 18 inning baseball game! 😜

Today was full of "Giving Tuesday is tomorrow" emails. Sigh. I'm looking forward to "Welcome back to Inbox Normal Wednesday" (it's not a thing, I just made it up....)

Well I'm reasonably sure all of this is baseball related... and frankly surprised "balls" only shows up twice then. "Negro" is definitely related to the Negro Leagues in KC that I visited earlier this year. And I'm pretty sure the last one was Shohei related when he did.... something...insane

Just got home from Wicked: For Good. And I think I'm gonna be finishing my leftover popcorn while watching Christmas movies this evening.

The problem with eating a big meal early-ish in the day and continuing to graze into the early evening means I've been thinking it's bedtime for hours already tonight.

It feels like each year I know who fewer and fewer of the musical acts or balloon characters are on the Macy's parade. It would be an even smaller number if I weren't teaching kiddos who talk about some of these characters!

Just found out that one of the kiddos I taught in kindergarten is celebrating their 18th birthday today and...

For a long time I've disliked all the Giving Tuesday emails. For some reason this year it seems like I've been getting a ton of "Giving Tuesday is coming-- be ready!" emails and it's just too much....

I just turned on the Today show for the first time in forever and one of the first commercials I saw was telling illegal aliens to self deport. Ugh. I'd expect a commercial like that on Fox but not NBC.

I am officially on Thanksgiving break! I have a feeling a nap isn’t too far off… 😴

Today was *a day* but I'm glad the rain wasn't quite as bad as it could have been. And I'm also glad I can now enjoy the rain from inside and under blankets and I don't have to wrangle children til Monday.

Rainy Friday. Send all the good vibes to teachers who have to deal with children who have to stay inside all day! ☔️

I've had a very productive day off doing lots of "adulting" things. Now it's time to catch up on The Morning Show. I got very behind during postseason baseball.

It's a weird vibe to have worked a normal Monday but to have tomorrow off because of Veteran's Day. Wednesday might feel a lot like a second Monday this week. Bleh.

I dropped my ballot in a drop box on Saturday. Realized last night I hadn’t gotten confirmation my ballot was received. Just put my info in the tracking website and it was counted (dated today interestingly) so hooray!

It feels so rare (at least in recent years) to actually feel some sort of hope on an election night. But here we are.... good job everyone

I now have a break from my class so I turned the parade on. I can’t even count how many coworkers said they were surprised I came to school today 🤣

I’m not going to any of the celebration events today. But our head of school sent an email yesterday saying we can wear Dodger gear so I’ve decided wearing my 2024 gold numbers Smith jersey I got as a giveaway this year. Feels fitting. And I’m DVRing SNLA basically all day to watch when I get home.
