Off to Melbourne

Was honoured to have been invited to help celebrate the Semiquincentennial 250th Birthday Celebrations of the United States on Wednesday evening at the @USEmbAustralia in Canberra.

Thank you everyone for your beautiful messages. I haven’t had a chance to respond to you all yet or have the moment to read through them all yet but I will get back to you ❤️

My mentor. My best friend. My grandfather. It is with immense sadness to say in the early hours of this evening Erich passed away. I am so incredibly proud of all he achieved. His legacy will live on through this garden and the hearts of those around him. I will miss him forever ❤️ 1932 - 2026

For dinner tonight I made a Chicken Paprikas with knödel. It’s been slow cooking for 5.5 hours. Yum!

For dinner tonight I make Spaghetti with Basil infused Greek Olive Oil from Olivetta in Sydney drizzled on top with cracked pepper and freshly grated Parmesan Very simple but very yum!

We finished off the day in Marrickville! We visited made590, a very cool small business!

We spent the morning at the Handmade markets! they were excellent!

A lovely time visiting this years Archibald Prize at the Art Gallery of NSW. Some very good entries!

Before I go back to Canberra this afternoon my grandfather and I went for a wander around in the garden. Matching 🥰

I have an update from the garden! Over the weekend we put the roof on the miner’s cottage in the citrus grove! Next step will be to put the porch on it! What do you reckon? 😁

It was special to visit my old school Preshil’s new Lincoln Square campus in Carlton. The site was formerly the old Allan & Co of Melbourne Piano Factory. Now a site to host the new Year 9-12 Studio of the school. This is a historic moment in the school's story. Very exciting.

It was wonderful while in Melbourne to visit Heide Museum of Modern Art’s latest exhibition of John Perceval’s artwork. It was particularly special to see his Angel sculptures of which one is owned by my old school Preshil. It was lovely to see it finally on display.

Was great to attend the new members talk and morning tea at the National Botanic Gardens in Canberra 🏡

The parking at @UniCanberra is absolutely atrocious. The report that recently came out saying that it is “fit for purpose” and “sufficient” is utter nonsense. I had to cancel my therapy appointment because there was not a single spot on campus. People have resorted to parking illegally.

Our yummy dinner last night with our friends we had over. Was a wonderful evening 🥰 I made lamb cutlets with baby potatoes and dried rosemary from my garden back in Melbourne 😁
