The use of James Cook would be a major selling point for me if Mike McDaniel were the next Bills HC. De’Von Achane’s receiving stats in 2025 almost double Cook’s, and it's nearly triple in 2024.

I've seen some “how is this possible” about Mike McDaniel interviewing for the Bills HC when he just became Chargers OC. Every assistant coach has a “rip this contract up if I can become an HC” clause in their deals. Just with many more legal jargon words thrown in.

I'm talking out of both sides of my mouth as I consistently say Pro Bowl accolades are meaningless. However, it shows an outsider's view of rosters. The Bills are routinely dwarfed by other teams in those numbers. Which pokes the comment “great roster, good coach” in the eye.

I am a bit worried for the Bills if their hope is “one of these Super Bowl coordinators will surely take the job” without some sort of back-channel agreement already in place.

As my brain continues to dissect what we heard today. I have to ask this: how does the Bills brass sell a promotion of Joe Brady (should they go that route) after everything they said about the coaching staff at the presser?

I also have empathy for Keon Coleman. I felt a gut punch during that presser and I was sitting in my classroom an hour away from One Bills Drive.

I just finished my Sports Media class. No surprise, but it was all about the Bills last 2 days. We came to this conclusion: while the announcement was fumbled, the decision was fair. Class wanted both gone or neither, but the idea of Pegula having to fill both positions is frightening.

There is a reason Terry Pegula doesn't do a ton of public speaking. I am glad he is at the mic right now, but it's certainly not his forte.

I'd love to visit an alternate reality where the Beane promotion was announced on March 17, or whenever, not in conjunction with McDermott's firing. I think that may have lowered the temp a bit for #BillsMafia from instant inferno. Just a thought on this balmy Wednesday morning.

I'll be honest, unless you have a direct quote from Josh Allen, it doesn't really matter what Bills players say about firing Sean McDermott.

Seeing reports that Brandon Beane is leading the search for the next Bills HC might be the oddest part of all of this. The Bills' roster is extremely flawed. Truly would have bet he would have been gone before Sean McDermott.

Next question: Is this Beane > McDermott from Pegula? Would have thought they might be let go together.

Does Terry Pegula think Bill Belichick still has it? We know he likes big names. Brian Daboll, Joe Brady, Jesse Minter Those are quick names off the top of my head. Sean McDermott also goes to the top of my Raiders list.
