Rafael Garcia: Henchman #1 examines life in an evil organization’s squads. Guarding jobs in exotic locations, interviewing for squad leader, relaxing with the guys who didn’t get killed during a job gone wrong. You know, standard stuff. 🙂 Rafael is a likable character, and #2 has been ordered.

I was never a Mad Magazine reader, but Mad About DC was a laugh aloud hoot! There were a couple of clunkers, like [redacted], but [TBA] was hilarious! The creators obviously enjoyed poking fun at themselves, execs, and fandom. Good way to lift your spirits.

Getting added to another “AI Haters” list…

Sentry arrived when I was on a comics break, so I know the basics, but have never read his series. This issue doesn’t exactly make me eager to read on, but I will follow my try-2-issues approach. The art is fine for a noir/detective book, but not for a superhero one. YMMV.

Finally read the first three DC Next Level titles. Batwoman was good. I want to know more about what’s going on. Deathstroke, I’m on the fence. Twisty ending, could be interesting. We’ll see. Lobo was Lobo. Never been a fan, but wanted to give it at least two issues. Loved the art.
