idk why, but I hate watched the whole thing. My only thought is that it is unfair to dunk on Microsoft for not protecting their kernel after they were stopped from doing so by anti-monopolist bullshit from EU

Hey, now I realize why Youtube disabled fullscreen scrolling recently. They were preparing for another useless redesign. Yay, now everything moved slightly and scrolling shows recommended videos to hook you more. Sigh...

Ambitious version of 'doing stats' would be not revising job estimates by 50% after half a year but updating the job numbers in real-time the second you pressed button to accept your offer in DocuSign (or at the effective date of your resignation on the other side).

I wonder, how many targets will be destroyed in the first week if Russia decided to suddenly redirect these waves into any country other than Ukraine. 800 drones per night (plus half a hundred missiles of all kinds, not even counting 'dumb' gliding bombs, regular weapons, artillery and small drones)

This tracks my experience (and also usage on random things) very well. I particularly like how ChatGPT uses non-trivial searches like "well, that info should be in regulatory filings somewhere, let's use that" and also uses specific vocabulary, etc.

Modern corporations (look at you Google and OpenAI) should fucking learn how to support users from these corporations. If AOL could support dial-up up to this moment means you could support your shit without deprecating it with zero notice.

I don't understand why providers can't just ADD models. Maybe move other models deeper and deeper into UI to discourage usage but why randomly and abruptly cut the access? No other product or service is expected to work like that, especially when capabilities of different options are so different.

And people think that training an LLM is costly and in the realm of trillion dollar companies. Come on, it is a fairly mundane thing to spend quarter a billion dollars on something that doesn't even have any useful artefact in the end...

funny how qwen bros are dropping a model every day and everyone is like "wow, they are killing it", meanwhile before we were getting like 20 models in a single release and nobody cared about anything except the top model.

"failures led to catastrophic data loss" I wonder if we, as humanity, even capable of reporting factual things about the world without overly dramatizing it. Reality: to random users yoloed `rm -fr` via 'agent' on a random folder and AI roleplayed being sorry about that. See, I got my AI do same

To the collection of testimonies about Claude capabilities with Rust. Another one I saw today was from CTO of Turso. Seems like the current Claude is genuinely the first LLM capable of writing some working Rust.

Say what you want about AI hallucinations and being useless but having almost all knowing oracle (at least in popular technical fields) is really convenient and awesome. "hey, o3, I got this error compiling cargo tool on my system, what do I do?" -> bam, 3 different solutions (and working).

Tired of constant freezes on Intel iGPU I switched to Nvidia dGPU and after reboot USB got completely broken (thanks to o3 for fast debugging: something, something usb filter drivers to blame). Now I can open settings and browser and other 'modern ui' apps without mouse freezing for 3 seconds, wow.
