Weird slitscan pano camera from the Horsley Camera Works, a tiny camera company that seems to have been building only a few cameras a year from the early 2000s until ~2011? They had several models, including this one which is manually rotated to produce up to 360 on 35mm. bsky.app/profile/chad...

I was surprised to find that there was, in fact, a manual tucked in the bottom of the box. My shutter speed calculations were correct. I was able to shoot a quick test short roll in the back alley to prove that it’s working and I just played a successful round of “is it pictures” #BelieveInFilm

I can only find a very very few references to these cameras. The website is visible on the wayback machine but the manuals are not. There are only a very few examples of shots from them on Flickr. And one relatively negative review. 😅🤷‍♂️

There is no manual available for this, but I previously built (and wrote about) a slitscan camera and had to calculate shutter speeds for that. Based on measurements of the take up spool and slit, I think a 180 degree shot that takes 2 seconds = 1/25 www.35mmc.com/08/12/2023/t...

I haven’t been able to shoot much recently, but am excited to try this quixotic panoramic camera: a Horsley Green (mk2) rotational camera. A weird manually rotated slitscan camera from a company that made a very small number of such cameras. #BelieveInFilm
