OK, I just found out that Broadway literally now has "Bill and Ted Waiting for Godot". And I find that sort of hilarious.

Well...I did it. May as well bookend the watch with the same shot as the beginning...only of course 99 episodes and a movie later. I can't believe it took me this long to rewatch "Animaniacs"...and I'm glad I did. Only regret: still needs more Minerva Mink. (but thems the breaks with kids shows)

I don't know how far I'll get or if I'll finish the series today, but I may as well get it started. Like yesterday, not too much to say since no nostalgia but... ANIMANIACS MARATHON, STAGE 6, GO!

I won't be as active as I was with the Fox era but if I have any thoughts, it will be here. (and I may need an upcoming holiday to finish it) Animaniacs Marathon Phase 5 (into the WB era), GO! RIGHT! (I had to with the first short of this era)

I will be doing the WB-era of "Animaniacs" this weekend, but I don't think I'll be live-blogging like the Fox stuff; not enough nostalgia and I just want to get through the series and finish it this weekend (and that includes "Wakko's Wish". Watch this space, there will be something hopefully.

You know after hearing the two earlier takes of "Can't Smile Without You" by both David Martin and the Carpenters... I think I appreciate Barry Manilow's take way more and how he just knows how to interpret songs just right in that era.

OK..."Aspirations" was good. The idea of the Gangreen Gang becoming competent due to lusting after Sedusa and her using this for revenge and to become more powerful than ever actually works well; again, I think her limited use makes her one of the strongest villains in the series compared to others

Question: if Sedusa's ready for her revenge on the PPG for "Something's a Ms.", what about Bellum? She was part of the downfall too.

I find interesting how little Sedusa's used and how she has an impact all three times.

Don't the PPG have a curfew? Why are they out at night all of a sudden?

"City of Nutsville" has...an interesting idea but weak execution. Townsville overrun by squirrels due to the Mayor's stupidity and even a return for Bullet: nice. On the other hand, did we need the Mayor to screw up...again; let alone put Bubbles in a collar to prevent communication stupidly?

I wasn't able to say much of anything about Chuck Jones' birthday yesterday due to being in "Animaniacs" mode, but Jones to me is one of those directors that is essential to the history of animation as a whole but who gets a bit too much praise. For every genius aspect of him like Duck Amuck

"Custody Battle" is an interesting idea: with both Mojo and Him having their signature on the RRB, who is their real father? It gets dumb with more nonsense like...more stupid Mayor stuff...but it's not a bad idea in theory and it is funny seeing villains go at it with each other.

"Night Mayor" is a weird one; I actually find it rather creative but it is ridiculous it's all just "pickle" stuff. Maybe the Mayor needs to do more with his life.

I hate "misinterpretation" episodes of comedy shows, and "Little Miss Interprets" is one of the worst I've ever seen. Utonium fails to make cakes right and Bubbles misinterprets it as wanting to get rid of the girls and they...blow up the lab so they don't make more? Um...why?

I'm really close to the end of the Fox era, so let's see if I can get there and then get through the...less-than-stellar WB stuff next week. Animaniacs marathon, phase 4 is go!

And so after two bleh segments...we get to a legendary one. Possibly the reason Orson Welles was the inspiration for Brain to begin with!

This has been a horrible week. But at least I can laugh off the weekend...I hope. Animaniacs marathon, stage 3, starts now!

To those who care: no I'm not boycotting Disney. Art is art and shouldn't be harmed by those that they were created for. But...I'm buying my Disney movies used so it doesn't go to corporate.

Well...in light of recent news, I pulled the plug on Disney+ If the Mouse wants to submit to "The Duck" and his Cauldronborn, then they don't need me. I'll just get my Disney content used from Thriftbooks and "elsewhere".

Anyone remember "Daffy Doodles"? That's "A Made Up Story", only with Phyllis Diller instead of Daffy Duck. And about three times as long and annoying. And a way more annoying narrator.

"Oops, I Did It Again" wasn't a bad concept: the realization that all of Utonium's best inventions were created by accident, including the PPG. However the whole "what if he didn't cause the accident and the PPG were normal" part was just...I get it was meant to be boring, but it was boring.

You know a major difference between Pokemon and Disney? Pokemon: You can be a fan of one of a thousand creatures and you can get love and care and respect and merch. Disney: You must bow down to a small select group of characters out of thousands to get love, care, respect and merch or be ignored.

Bubbles nearly reverted to her "Los Dos Mojos" form. Nice callback.

"Mo' Linguish" is a weird concept: Mojo teaches his diction to Townsville and ends up conquering it? It's a neat idea, though it can get annoying if this appeared more beyond this one episode. It's not good but at least it's unique.

OK, "Live and Let Dynamo" is actually good: considering how horrifying a "good guy" Dynamo was in it's first appearance, an episode with the PPG fighting to stop it and the city being destroyed in the process is a cool concept. Just hate who was behind it because...(sighs) he's probably the worst.

An entire episode of fart jokes combined with Chemical X to become... Meh, why? Why am I watching this? BTW: it's the PPG episode "Reeking Havoc".

Probably not as long and not as many episodes with more breaks, but let's at least get started: Animaniacs series watch set 2: GO!

I will be getting back to the Animaniacs Marathon later. Starting from Ep. 23 (not happy I'm back to Buttons and Mindy for my first episode) and debating if to just finish the disc and get to an even 25 before calling it a weekend or push it until I just need other things done today.

Someone's pop culture reference (Star Trek, Star Wars, Spongebob, Simpsons, etc.): tons of memes and conversation and everyone thinks they're cool. Me with Muppet Show references: crickets and "um...what?" Yeah, my priorities are different from 99.99% of all humanity, sadly.

What was the point of "Makes Zen to Me"? We get it, Buttercup is violent and needs restraint, but all of this isn't going to make her moderate. It's Buttercup...and why did we need Mojo here to "learn" that lesson; why did Mojo even need zen meditation anyway/

Oh great, now it's the PPG episode about the fortune cookie that "Rocko's Modern Life" did. Oh and the episode begins with Buttercup getting revenge for "Shotgun Wedding". I get the lesson but that episode I think Fuzzy deserved it.

"Coup D'etat"...did we really need essentially "Knight Rider" meets "Christine"? Maybe if Utonium made a special super-car minus the sentience, it wouldn't have been as bad...probably would but what do you expect.

And now we get Dynamo, but it's now a car for Utonium (essentially "K.I.T.T." from "Knight Rider"). Um...why? And how with stuff from a vehicle shop?

"Prime Mates" is an interesting idea of consequence: an abandoned experiment from "The PPG Movie" returns to help and eventually bite Mojo in the butt for his betrayal. There's a lot to like, but they wanted to make Mopey Popo essentially Droopy...but without the Avery bits that made Droopy good.

Oh great, "Prime Mates" is a sequel to "The PPG Movie". And I haven't seen that in this watch. Maybe I should.

I get what "Sweet 'n' Sour" wants to do with the Fluffy Bunch being so cute they can't be arrested, but it reminds me a bit too much of "Equal Fights". Though the ending being essentially the Caterpillar Room in "Toy Story 3"...that's original and I did like that.

I get that "Silent Treatment" tries to give appreciation to old silent movies, except it does so in the most cliche way possible even compared to other fun versions like "2 Stupid Dogs" or even "Fairly Oddparents". At least there isn't a "Steamboat Willie" homage, that's a good thing.
