The Bolanization of my wardrobe continues apace. Thank God for Depop.

Don't wanna do dishes. Don't wanna eat leftovers for dinner. I definitely don't want to clear off the dining table. Not so much into the vacuuming either. Probably I will just sit here and sulk.

A. is still limping around which means I'm decorating our little tree on my own. Problem - I've found our calavera cowboy, I've found his dog and I've even found his girlfriend. I can't find his cow.

Continuing with my Marc Bolen obsession - I've acquired both a sequined blazer and a white leopard blazer. A. is dreading the advent of platforms and flares. I regard this as a bonus.

Our Advent calendar is filled with tiny chocolate Santas which I've been eating from the feet up and making them scream in pain. Andrew doesn't do this and I can't understand why not.

I'm having a strong urge to start dressing like Marc Bolan.

First world problem of the day: I've made the soup, now I don't want to eat the soup. Maybe I'll change my tune once it's simmered awhile but it could really use a can of diced tomatoes if I think about it.

Husband just ordered himself an oyster and onion pizza and quite frankly I'm terrified.

Went to see DOA and the Nekromantix last night Unfortunately A. had to bow out at the last minute due to eye pain. I was all dressed up in a sequined mini skirt, offensive t-shirt and ginormous boots so I went solo I had fun but it absolutely blows that he so often in too much pain to go out.

Hey Holly - I made a bunch of fermented salsa with those tomatoes you gave us. We're going to try some tonight to see if it kills us. In the event that we are dead due to salsa poisoning I hereby bequeath you my new personally autographed Gary Numan bobble head and the matching Christmas ornament.

Already having a day. Just managed to fling a leftover salad from Olympia Pizza all over the floor. Also managed to break a mug by also flinging said mug out of the cupboard and onto the floor. Then the tea overflowed the pot, but at least it didn't hit the floor.

The kitchen is completely destroyed but all the jam is canned and all the jars sealed.

I've made jam. I canned it in a steam canner. I did absolutely everything out of proper order. The best I can say is that nothing has exploded. Yet.

I've never really liked the Forth of July - it's only redeeming quality is the fact that two of my friends - one childhood and one current, both named Laura's birthdays are today. So Happy Laura's Birthday to you all.

Took the vacuum apart. I've forgotten how to put it back together. You'd think I'd have paid attention to what I was doing but no. Back to Youtube I go.

Went to see The Adicts last night dressed in a mini dress made of one of their t-shirts, fishnets, motorcycle boots and a bowler hat - in the front row where I had to dodge the liberty spikes on the 17 year old girl next to me. I'm 65. Go me.

I know it's Junuary but I'm supposed to go to a party today wearing a fabulous outfit. I think it might be too cold for said outfit. I hate it when function supersedes form.

I have this weird thing that happens where I can't walk, or I walk like a drunken sailor. My acupunturist manages it pretty well, but it started again last week. I also just started a new ADHD med last week (non-stimulant). Talked to my doc and he thinks that may have triggered it. Not good.

I just got an email from my aunt's retirement that as she's moved out of state she will lose her insurance. She hasn't moved. She is in a nursing home in California completely incapacitated.

Saw the Buzzcocks last night. We had to drive to Tacoma but it was worth it. The venue wasn't bad and we met a very cool woman who showed us a different club on the next block. We had fun.

After several Youtube videos and an intense bout of overfocus I have FIXED THE VACUUM!!!!!!! Did I do a victory dance? Oh yes I did!

I've made a mess - and roasted cream of cauliflower soup, but mostly a mess.

We’re at Funhouse for Punk Rock Karaoke. Punk Rock Karaoke is not here for us. Cancelled at the very last minute. I dressed up for some random band. I hope they appreciate it.

I wonder if I should wear my goth bunny ears to go do Tai Chi at Volunteer Park.

Max is eating my hair with great enthusiasm. I don't know why. This is a new thing. Weirdo.

Husband is still here at Swedish totally bored to sobs at this point. In other news I have tickets to see X tonight in Tacoma. Anyone want to go?

Andrew had a severe bout of pancreatitis early this morning so he's in Swedish for the night. He kicked me out of the ER to do the enamel class I had planned. I made some earrings and little bowls so that was fun. I also got to eat the lunch I made for him. It was delicious.

I'm feeling the need to watch Repo Man again.

Got a split of cheap champagne from Trader Joe's and am now drinking it with chili lime pork rinds because I have real knack for putting the ass in class.

I cannot find my headphones. Also I cannot find the headphones that these particular headphones replaced. I can also not find the broken pair that still kind of work. I think A. hid them. Clearly he is gaslighting me - he says not, but that's what he would say, right?

I'm kinda proud of how much millage I can get out of a single Costco rotisserie chicken.

I'm making my niece's bunny basket however instead of a stuffed bunny I got her a stuffed hell hound. #bestauntever

I saw a picture of Justin Trudeau meeting King Charles yesterday and I started to wonder if we could present a good case for repatriation. "Dear King Charles, please take us back, we'll even pay taxes on the tea." Think it will work?

Husband is holed up in his car as his driver's seat is the least painful arrangement for his ribs. He called to tell me that he won't be braving the thunder, lightning and rain to come in as his injuries will prevent him from doing the backstroke.

Andrew is gimping about whimpering, poor guy. He's actually sitting out in the car because it's the only place that's comfortable for him. I hope the percoset kicks in soon. I have to run some errands but I'm hoping he'll be feeling a little better by the time I get back.

I already posted about this on the Book of Faces but on Friday night my husband took a header down the stairs while trying to maneuver my laundry down to the basement. He broke three ribs and we got to spend all night in the Harborview ER. I may never do laundry again, I can't handle the guilt. 🥺
