Working with my friend C. today. She needed a sink drainer to catch food scraps and such. We decided on one called the "Drain Weasel". Why because it's called a Drain Weasel. How could we not? I even got one for A. and I because i figure everyone needs a thing called a Drain Weasel.

I'm 66. I'm not sure how this happened. I guess it's an excuse to eat tacos and pie.

I went to Costco yesterday and forgot the mustard. Whatever shall I do if someone pulls up beside me and asks if I have any Grey Poupon?

My new phone is blue and sparkly. It doesn't have the cool Mister Mittens case though. I do miss Mister Mittens.

I lost my phone so if its urgent call Andrew. Otherwise don't bother. I'll update when it's been resolved. I've contacted Lyft and clearly they've hired their CSRs directly off the short bus. Although I'm the one that lost my phone so I'm obviously right there with them.

Today I am wearing one of Andrew's old vintage bowling shirts and a pair of bloomers. It's a look.

Managed to bounce myself off the pavement yesterday. I significantly injured my arm but it seems that my elbow joint is not dislocated so that's good.

I went to see Electric Six the other night - unfortunately A.'s hip is a big issue. I offered to send my baby bro and his wife as they introduced me to this band but she's got some health thing - also kid. I tarted myself up and headed down by myself. (TBC)

Dropped the leftover meds, pet pads, low access litter box that ended up being his bed when it turned out he was to weak to use it down at the vet's office as a donation. I hope they do some other kitty some good. Then I came home and just found the tray that we served his food on. I'm just so sad.

We just received condolence flowers from the vet for Max. I'm in tears again.

Our little old man Max passed peacefully away in the wee hours of the morning. He was home and he was loved.

In other news I just found out that Canada has relaxed it's citizenship right of inheritance requirements. My grandfather was born on Prince Edward Island. Am I applying? Yes, I think I will. If it works I will be saying eh at every opportunity.

Max is not doing as well as we thought. He's having a hard time walking around. We thought it was arthritis and were waiting for his treatment to kick but it hasn't improved and he can't get to his box. We took him back in and we're trying a couple of different things. We'll have to wait and see.

The Max report. He's got hyperthyroidism. We're medicating him to see how he does. He's also, predictably has arthritis. Medication all around. As you can imagine, he's absolutely thrilled about being pilled.

We're taking Max to the vet tomorrow. He's been moving gingerly and I'm worried that he's not grooming himself properly. Keep your fingers crossed for our little old man.

So. our building dumpster is locked, because neighborhood. I took some very stinky trash down, unlocked the lid and tossed my trash in and because I'm a unhinged idiot forgot where I put the lock/key. I thought I had thrown it in with the trash. (To be continued . . .)

The hot water is tepid again.

Got some of Mandarley tea's at the Punk Rock Flea Market. They're a boutique tea company that mostly sells at shows like this. Their blend names are pretty amusing. I'm drinking one called The Double Damned right now. It's minty.

Koffin Kats show last night was totally awesome, and why did I forget that Left Alone were so great? Came home with tee shirts and CDs because supporting musicians by actually purchasing their music feels like a sacred duty these days.

Trying to get up the enthusiasm to make some broccoli cheddar soup. It would be green for Saint Paddy's Day. I have green dinosaurs on my underpants to avoid the pinching but if someone insists I also have a green box cutter that I'm totally willing to deploy.

Strange people are reposting random posts of mine. Mostly asking for money when I go to check them out. Is this a thing? Right now I'm impartially wielding the block hammer but boy is it annoying.

Our refrigerator is full of primordial food, aka ingredients. I don't want to deal with ingredients right now. Also none of them are pie.

The keys are still missing. It will probably cost about $300 to replace them. I feel like a complete idiot. I wonder if insurance would pay, but that's less than the deductible but if it would count towards our deductible that might be good. I'm off to call the dealer.

I can't find either of the keys to my car and Saint Anthony has not come through so far. Therefore I just ordered a bunch of those tile tracker things. I plan on attaching them to everything including the cats and the spouse. However this does not help me right now.

I think they're playing the Moore soon.

The cat is up to something. I'm not sure I want to know what. At least he's not barfing - yet.

Our hot water has been limited. The building is working on it, but not fast enough as I really wanted a shower and I'll probably have to wait until 10:30 tonight as it seems to be better then. I can deal with tepid if necessary but it's kind of chilly today and that seems really unappealing.

Watching the Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein. Very pretty but not all that compelling and quite frankly a pale imitation of Mel Brooks interpretation of the same story.

Don't wanna do dishes. Don't wanna eat leftovers for dinner. I definitely don't want to clear off the dining table. Not so much into the vacuuming either. Probably I will just sit here and sulk.

A. is still limping around which means I'm decorating our little tree on my own. Problem - I've found our calavera cowboy, I've found his dog and I've even found his girlfriend. I can't find his cow.

Continuing with my Marc Bolen obsession - I've acquired both a sequined blazer and a white leopard blazer. A. is dreading the advent of platforms and flares. I regard this as a bonus.

Our Advent calendar is filled with tiny chocolate Santas which I've been eating from the feet up and making them scream in pain. Andrew doesn't do this and I can't understand why not.

Went to see DOA and the Nekromantix last night Unfortunately A. had to bow out at the last minute due to eye pain. I was all dressed up in a sequined mini skirt, offensive t-shirt and ginormous boots so I went solo I had fun but it absolutely blows that he so often in too much pain to go out.

Hey Holly - I made a bunch of fermented salsa with those tomatoes you gave us. We're going to try some tonight to see if it kills us. In the event that we are dead due to salsa poisoning I hereby bequeath you my new personally autographed Gary Numan bobble head and the matching Christmas ornament.

Already having a day. Just managed to fling a leftover salad from Olympia Pizza all over the floor. Also managed to break a mug by also flinging said mug out of the cupboard and onto the floor. Then the tea overflowed the pot, but at least it didn't hit the floor.

The kitchen is completely destroyed but all the jam is canned and all the jars sealed.

I've made jam. I canned it in a steam canner. I did absolutely everything out of proper order. The best I can say is that nothing has exploded. Yet.

I've never really liked the Forth of July - it's only redeeming quality is the fact that two of my friends - one childhood and one current, both named Laura's birthdays are today. So Happy Laura's Birthday to you all.
