Fairy Lake in Acton, Ontario, once had a bridge for the Toronto Suburban Railway (TSR)'s Guelph Line. Service ended in 1931 and the bridge was dismantled in 1935. Today some wood supports remain in the water and are visible from Fairy Lake Lookout.

Our museum's first carbarn was still under construction in this 1960 photo taken by Robert Sandusky. This was about 6 years since the first two streetcars, 1326 and 55, arrived at the property for preservation. Robert was one of our Founding Members and recently passed away. He will be missed!

June 25th, 1972 was the day our museum finally opened to the public! This was exactly 18 years after the first two streetcars arrived here for preservation. The late Jack Knowles, who was one of our museum's Founding Members, took this great photo.

Peter Witt streetcar #2894 is over 102 years old and still going strong! This Ottawa-built car was used as a "Tour Tram" around Toronto from 1973 to 1986. It was then trucked about 85km from the city out to our museum where it continues to operate to this day!

The third artifact added to our museum's collection was Montreal & Southern Counties Railway (M&SC) interurban #107. This photo was taken facing west on McGill Street from Rue-Marguerite-D'Youville in Montreal, Quebec, in 1954. #107 was built in 1912 and retired in 1955.

Peter Witt streetcar #2894 was out for "Tour Tram" service on King Street in this photo from July 26th, 1980. TPS collection. Witt #2894 was moved about 86km from Toronto to our museum in 1986. We are open for weekends and holidays during the months of May and June. 10am to 5pm.

Old beasts like Peter Witt streetcar #2894 need a lot of maintenance to stay running! Here's a view from below in our museum's pit. The car was jacked up so the front truck could be removed. We re-open to the public on the first weekend of May!

One of the artifacts in our museum's collection is Meadowvale's shelter from the Toronto Suburban Railway's Guelph Line. It was built around 1917 and now resides inside our Barn #4. Our museum will re-open for the first weekend of May - 2025.

On June 19th, 1926 a special train was operated on the Toronto Suburban Railway's Guelph Line. It ran from the terminal at St. Clair Ave. and Keele Street to Eldorado Park near Brampton, Ontario. This photo was taken at Etobicoke Creek in what is now Markland Wood Golf Course.
