We got a closer look at AOTP Brawl this week and, personally, I like what I'm seeing, ESPECIALLY that feet are feet! Really curious on how Onslaught is going to work with the legs (we already know how the arms work looking at Vortex).

Shockwave/Shockblast custom rounds out my road-worthy Decepticons. Inspired by Alternators Shockblast, with a yellow grill highlight to echo his eye in alt mode. Trailbreaker’s gun + Cyberverse head finish him off. What 3 bots would make good Insecticons? Motorcycles maybe?

This is a big no for me, personally. First, they made Soundwave a Netflix exclusive and he was impossible to buy, then you had to buy him over again just to get Buzzsaw, and now he comes with everything, but the tapes don't even look like actual tapes anymore. Who's getting him?

Driftstream (Slipstream custom) finishes my Makotron car Seekers. Built from the Jazz mold: visor + speaker wings = turbine blades. Shoulder shell adds built-in guns. Lots of partsforming, but flexible for different Slipstream looks.

Scored the Hot Wheels x Transformers Ultra Magnus & Tracks at Target/Walmart last week. Magnus doesn’t haul cars (wishful thinking) and Tracks’ color shift is tough to pull off, but both are fun additions to my pop culture car collection. Hoping the line continues!

Transformers Studio Series Perceptor. Show of hands, who got this 3-pack just for Ramhorn? For Perceptor, they updated the colors, removed clear parts (scope and tray), gave him a back cover, and tweaked the torso. The change means the “secret” tank mode no longer tabs in. (1/3)

Studio Series Widowmaker This one came out of left field. It's crazy to think that a character we saw for maybe a blink has a licensed alt mode of a McLaren MP4-12C no less. She's not a bad figure, but her legs give me Unicron flashbacks. I bought her for custom fodder myself.

Studio Series Megatron Have to say, I am pretty damn surprised with the new Megs. Props to the team at Hasbro for the engineering on him. They hide a lot of tank mode in bot mode and i'm here for it. He's actually kinda fun to transform and it's been awhile since I felt that.

Devastation Prime wasn't on my list, but I also can't pass up a good sale so I grabbed him cheap to see what the fuss was about. He's not bad, just not for me. The transformation is finicky and I don't like the way the grill sits in bot mode. Plus... c'mon, giving us a Prime without his gun?

Transformers One Studio Series Sentinel Prime Love the movie, but the toys never really had a spot in my collection, which is weird I have a few of them. Sentinel isn't a bad fig. He's got a neat "power-up" gimmick and he's a solid version of the character, he just isn't my bag.

Dr. Wu DW-E61 Brutality & DW-E62 Slaughter (G1 Slugfest & Overkill) Dr. Wu does it again. Honestly, I know I'm mostly a 1st party guy for consistency, but you can't pass up solid figures like these, especially if you never know when or IF Hasbro is ever going to release them. 🦖

Vortex is the first of the Combaticons is in, and I am here for it! As much as I love dark teal guns on a bit, it looks like cartoon accurate is the name of the game on these guys, versus toy colors on the CW version. Not much to say, I like the bot and alt mode much better on this guy. 🤷‍♂️

Blokees Figures | Transformers Action Edition 03 Soundwave I'm going to say this up front. I'm absolutely stunned at the engineering in this. Absolutely no stickers, every color is a solid piece, no sprues to clip, nothing to sand. It's like Gundam-lite and I'm here for it!

Sonic & Tails x Transformers Custom I'm tired of crossover figs missing key traits: no red Sonic shoes/no Tails tails, so I made my own. Alt modes aren’t perfect. Sonic’s a sports car/Tails is a drone, but they feel right. Bonus: Guess the molds and where Tails’ legs are from!

Transformers Age of the Primes Rescue Bot Heatwave Rescue Bots dropped right as my son got into it, so this one hits home. I might be in the minority, but I like this figure — solid update that keeps the spirit of the original. Now we NEED Boulder and Blades.
