Good thread on how awful Reagan was. I was a teen in the 80s, & it was awful. I felt a constant dread that he was going to get us into a nuclear war. It was clear that all his policies only helped the rich. He couldn't have cared less about AIDS or anyone not like him. His speeches sucked.

Nine years and two days ago, I sat through a committee hearing on a bill that would have banned trans kids in Wisconsin schools from using the bathroom of their choice. People came from all over the state to oppose the bill--including from very conservative areas. The bill didn't go any further.
