hello! I have been taking a break from chosen as I was struggling with terrible writers block and feelings of perfection for it my new WIP is currently called Stuck in the Shadows!

If you are an author that uses ai to write or create art then I’ve lost respect for you!!!! even if you are transparent about it!!! commission real artists, learn how to draw, or don’t have any art!!

after many a moons not writing and feeling bad about myself as a writer and wondering if my dreams are even worth it, I just sat and wrote 644 words It’s not a lot but I’m proud of myself and I feel like o can actually do this again

just pulled out my laptop after a month of ignoring writing! staring a new version of chosen but using the elements that I’ve already written in it so I don’t feel like a total failure lol hopefully this version is the one that sticks and that truly feels like how this story should be told

when I say "I started writing a new book" I really mean I've thought up a singular interesting scene playing out to a specific song that I am currently fleshing out in great detail in hopes this thing called "a plot" emerges from the veiled fog of my vague daydreams

reworking some things in my book before I can continue with it 🙂‍↕️

haha stopped writing before doing this but since I’m going to start writing again and bc I feel my depression clearing I will draw the name tomorrow so you may still enter until 12pm cst tomorrow!

what if instead of writing my book that I dream about, I write a third essay on lord of the rings what if I did that

I have a cover idea but zero artists talent to even attempt to draw a mock up of it to see if it’s as cool as it is in my head

I have 17,224 words written which may not seem like a lot but actually the amount of tears I shed for those words deserves at least a slam poetry snap

I know I made my account three days ago BUT I’ve been world building and slowly writing this book for three years anyway just read some of it out loud to a friend for an opinion and had to stop because the whole thing read so stupidly

think if formatting my book different but telling myself that the chapters I’m writing to see if I prefer this format better will be useful either way so I don’t feel like my progress is backwards instead of forwards

I guess in a way amaris is a heartbreaker. He doesn’t have a love interest in the book, but that’s not to say people aren’t interested in him, because there are a few but he is too focused on being the chosen one for romance
