My favourite season has arrived.

Woke up at 4am for no reason. Just saw that the northern lights were really visible at that time, but I didn’t see them. My body knew it was time to be romantic about the sky, though. It knew. 🌌🌠

Was gifted this today by someone who made it especially for me, just for spooky season, and you know what? I should never complain about anything ever again.

Me outloud to absolutely nobody: “I think I need to start collecting vintage lingerie.”

Was stuck in a waiting room with 5 pregnant women & their partners this morning & all I could think was “not me, suckas!!” *high fiving 20 archangels*

I become so powerful in the autumn, it's absolutely unreal I become a 1 HP slime in the other three seasons but it's worth it for the fall

I will never get over Steve Buscemi hitting play on "Dancing in the Dark" as his walk-on music introduction as the new Principal of Nevermore Academy in "Wednesday". The way I cackled out loud, completely alone in my house.

My new favourite thing is sitting on my meditation cushion, closing my eyes, listening to an ASMR video and not moving for 20 minutes straight.

The book market has been saturated with trashy witch novels called “hot boyfriend hexes” or whatever, but I was raised on “Practical Magic” and I know better than to crack one of those spines.

As a certified “horny, hates men”, I always find myself drawn to “sad, hates everyone”. Not sure how well that’s been going, but I’m glad to see my degree in action here.

If there is one thing you can bet money on, it’s me and this.

I went back to the songs I know so well that a small part of them is etched into my own heart-bullet. I just bought new headphones & I need to burn them in. The best place to start? With this on a rainy saturday. I’ve got my coffee. I’ve got my skeleton pajamas. Anything else I need will come.

If the universe had to throw another dizzy spell my way, at least it balanced the scale & also gave me autumn rain.

Sometimes I think about the fact that people enjoy listening to Norah J*nes & it's more confusing to me than the Bermuda Triangle, Bigfoot, and that elevator in the Cecil Hotel combined.

Part of the joy of autumn for me is making a new fall playlist, but also revisting old ones. This was part of my 2012 list & I was clearly feeling some 2005 nostalgia that year:

I was ten years old & immediately loved it. I knew that: 1) Scully was about to become a new redheaded hero of mine, & 2) I’d probably always be attracted to men who are curious about all things spooky.
