I saw it last night, and here's just a few random thoughts in Alt text that might contain spoilers and might be a bit disjointed since I’m tired and sick af (I know I already posted and deleted it, it's normal, just my brain😅)

The Mandalorian Shrugs with Baby Yoda Alt: Visually, it’s not perfect, but there are some really great ideas—especially in the design of certain creatures and droids, and even in the special effects techniques (like stop motion). There’s a lot—like, a whole lot—of action, a bit of humor, and a kinda touching scene. It has the same vibe and pace as the series but it feels weird because the movie is like three filler episodes strung together. You kinda have the impression that you see 3 times the same scenes (like invincible Mando fighting in corridor) But the huge problem is the total lack of stakes, and above all that the movie is completely disconnected from the main story. There’s no reference to the other Mandalorians, the Shadow Council, or Thrawn, so the movie adds nothing and doesn’t advance either the story or the characters. I’m a bit disappointed and worried; I absolutely don’t want Star Wars to turn into Andor, but I also don’t want Filoni to derail his main plot by focusing on trivial side stories. I would have preferred a simple adventure movie where we stayed, as in the intro, with Din, Grogu, and Zeb facing off against real villains linked to the Shadow Council, rather than multiple rescues of Rotta 🙄 Oh, and no post-credits scene I’ll probably enjoy it more on a second watch, without the expectations I had, because it’s still pretty fun.
