Today is Argentine Animation day in my country so, to celebrate it, here is a drawing I made of one of my favourite animated movies "Ánima Buenos Aires" (2012). Probably, the best animated movie I saw coming from here and a excellent anthology of shorts and visual styles.

Obscure foreign animation recommendation of the day: Marcipánová komédia (1987) by Viktor Kubal. A loose adaptation of the Hansel and Gretel story with surreal slapstick, wacky humor and a scantily clad witch. Check it out if you can. Here is a drawing of it:

Recently saw Toei Animation "Ali Baba and the 40 thieves" (1971). I really loved the wacky/cartoony animation and character designs of this film (this was one of Hayao Miyazaki's first credit roles as a developer/character designer and it shows). ︀︀Here are some coloured sketches:

I recently saw the film "VIP, mio fratello superuomo" by animator Bruno Bozzetto and loved it so much that I wanted to make a little MiniVip animation. ︀︀However, what started as a simple gif turned into a learning lesson for me as I discovered how to move a background in sequence.
