Tried to calm my anxiety about the Escape from Alcatraz swim in two weeks by building a dashboard of the water conditions in San Francisco Bay using available data from NOAA. (I'm not sure it's helping my anxiety but at least it looks cool.)

Sounds like the new version of TrainerRoad is dropping today. I've been in the beta for the past couple of weeks and so far it's been a fantastic update. Probably the most productive block of training I've had in months.

They say AI is useless, but without Whoop's AI coach, I might have never found out that I, a 43-year-old man, am pregnant. Truly incredible technology, glad we're betting the entire economy on it.

Ironman 70.3 Boise for #MedalMonday. Tremendous race, spectacular course, wasn't feeling 100% but still got a PR, absolutely can't wait to do it again. Full race report coming later this week.

I'm so glad Peacock has the international feed for the Tour de France Femmes. I don't think I could stand another week of Phil and Bob and the three dudes in the studio with their dumb holographic table and the endless SportsCenter-style jabbering before each stage.

My spot in T2 is… less than ideal.

A short review of the Zwift × RIPT Ultra headphones: They lasted a grand total of two days before they started malfunctioning. I think sweat got into them, despite being "sweatproof." Don't waste your money.

Probably as good as it gets before Boise. After the brutal heat in St. George, I'm curious to see how much of a difference this makes.
