I can't believe I have slept on the Gaogaigar anime for so long. Highly highly highly recommend giving this series a watch. I'm only 10 episodes in, but you can see so many similarities that Gurren Lagann adopted from Gaogaigar. One of the peak 90s hype giant robot anime for sure.

I put together the Going Merry model from One Piece the other day. It was a birthday gift from my brother a little while ago. A bit of a pain to put together, but I am satisfied. Might replace the stickers with paint at some point.

I played Final Fantasy 3 Pixel Remaster while work was slow last night. Using the x4 multiplier for EXP, Gil, and Job Class points, I beat the game fully within a little over 8 hours. Extra time is from working on the bestiary. The Ikari Warriors team completely bypassed job gimmick boss fights🤌

Made some trades to get these classics CIB. Ikari Warriors II, Mega Man 6, and (of course) Super Mario Bros. 3. These take me back to the Super Kmart and KB Toys days of my childhood.

The Toledo Local this past Saturday playing CotW sets was fun. No care about wins. Just having fun and learning. It had been a while since I had a good time at a local. I'm hopeful that people will stick with the new Fatal Fury, despite some of the creative choices made for that game.

My biggest gripe with Tizoc is he doesn't have a lot of answers when it comes to dealing with pressure, unless you lab guard cancel punishes. I think it'll be a major problem online, since guard cancel has a small window. Dropped frames will ruin that form of defense, but it's too early to tell.

My new PC build was completed last night. A friend pointed out that it looks like Canti from Fooly Cooly, which makes this even cooler to me. I did not even think about that when buying the tower😭🤌

Flight to Norway for a wedding this summer is inbound. Bought a new sectional for my home. Upgrading my PC tomorrow at my friend's. I'm going to take a step back from spending for a while. The plane ticket and new sectional were a must. I also haven't upgraded my PC fully since 2018, besides GPU.

Every time I watch Gurren Lagann, there is so much I realize that I forget what happens throughout the journey. This makes the repeat experience even better. Which is kinda crazy. It's still a 10/10 anime after all these years🤌

I'mreally enjoying Metaphor. Finally, a Persona game that does not entail reliving through high school. Plus the level of fantasy elements involved makes the world building more engrossing.

We need more than just SamSho characters in future KOF entries. Gai Tendo was an obvious first pick for me. He is the only other character who (kinda) functions like Anģel. I also want Metal Slug and Kizuna Encounter characters. It would be sweet, but NESTS bosses are another factor. Plus Mukai.

My saxophone came in yesterday, and I was able to try it out. Right now, I am just going to focus on learning scales and proper breathing. Might need to get a tuner and stand during the beginner phase. I will at least play an hour a day for the first month, and see where I am standing in the future.

I'm relieved that I can still read musical scores to determine the flow, but I'm still waiting on my saxophone to come in the mail within the next 3 days. The amount of research into rekindling my musical interest never had me this excited before. I really want the creative part of my life back!

Bought a tenor saxophone. The end goal is to work my way up to playing "NYC Jazzy 99" and "Saxophone Under the Moon" by heart. I need a creative outlet, and I feel this will be a great personal challenge. Also, I have some prior years of experience with woodwind instruments in the past.

I'm in the post game of Dragon Quest 3 HD2D, working towards my ultimate team. Having the "Wild Side" ability for all party members will be busted. There will be no need for a Sage anymore, since I learned everything from that class. Final party will be Martial Artist, Warrior, and Monster Wrangler.
