Father frowned, worry painfully visible on his face as for the briefest of moments as he watched Envy leave; he knew there was no point in trying to reason with him at this point in time. Picking up the cat, he gently set it down as he went to dig for another book. Now all he could do was wait.

Father listened intently, and for once, he didn't look bored or show emotion to some degree of extreme. He was actually listening. "That is how I tend to view them. With Envy I do not think he knows who he is outside of the core that I gave him... The others seem to fair a little better."

"I have been watching somewhat... I am mildly concerned." Worried he's worried too. Father laughed quietly at that, his own views had been similar not too long ago. "I had similar views until recently. Now... I do not believe achieving godhood is necessary."

Father glanced at the cat as it stretched out, before looking back up to Envy. He studied him for a moment, Envy was him at his core. Even Hohenheim had pointed it out when asked if was jealous of humanity. Given his form, it was the truth.
