35 years ago today I was diagnosed with HIV In 2 weeks I’ll be 60 and 2 weeks ago I had my last appointment with my consultant of 30 years, because he is retiring. Back then it inconceivable that I would live to see either of these two things happen.

Today half a mile in beautiful Brockwell air temp not sure pool 9.2, but 7 years ago I was at world ice swimming championships! Air temp -4 water temp 0.5 First swim done 50m freestyle. Didn’t feel cold and, better than predicted didn’t come last.
