To those unaware, and especially those in the Smash community, #RivalsofAether2 has recently released. I cannot recommend this game enough; it is the only platform fighter, aside from Smash, to get my World Chump seal of approval. (I do recognize the other platfighters have merits too.)

Bro I’m normally not one to vent about tournament losses, but actually HOW do people keep their focus when there’s a group of people behind you commenting on literally every point of the match? Like yes I’m upset I lost, but what I’m feeling right now is not directly about that.

Somehow, I’ve hit on a fantastic time on the #NintendoWorldChampionshipsNES Legendary Trial. According to Speedrun, this is actually the 4th best time in the world! This is definitely something I want to keep grinding. It’s a challenge definitely worthy of the World Championships.

So, I've talked at length about my grievances with the disadvantage state in Smash Ultimate in that, for a large majority of the matchups in the game, being offstage is generally pretty inconsequential, with ledge autosnap being a big factor in this.

I do hope that, with this Nintendo World Championships game coming, it points to a sign that we might see Nintendo run an NWC next year. It would be 2025; the 35th year of the NWC, and that year would certainly coincide with the Switch 2's existence in some form. How about it?

I tried the "Cut Half The Smash Ultimate Roster" challenge. All I can say is... ow. My criteria largely centered around the legacy of the characters/series, as well as the impact they had on gaming/culture as a whole. The focus was to have the roster represent gaming from as many eras as possible.

I just found out that Bosconian recently got released on Switch. For someone like me, who grew up in the Plug 'n Play era, this was a top pick for me back in the day. It stood out nicely against the usual candidates like Pac-Man and Galaga.
