This past week, I've been working on a tech demo in RPG Maker based on Octopath's battle system. Even with some robust plugins, I needed to do a lot of cheats to make it look right. This is right in my wheelhouse, but I haven’t been following it very closely. One thing that struck me as interesting is that Palworld’s announcement (June 5, 2021) may have rushed Nintendo and Pokémon Company to announce Legends Arceus in August 2021, specifically showing the capturing mechanic.
