Specificity is a spectrum. There's true skill in determining what level of specificity to use in any given situation. A good starting place to figure this out is to understand your audience.

Iterate FAST. If you have a project or task that isn’t completely clear, iterate on it as quickly as possible. The feedback loop you create will be key in helping you reach success.

Dedicate 1 hour per day to working towards your goals. Ideally, at the same time every day. This will help you make building the life you want a routine. Focus time is key to making progress.

The best are always looking to improve. Sometimes that means trying something new. Sometimes that means reintroducing something old. Trial and error until you find that sweet spot.

Imposter syndrome always hits when you’re asked to do something that you already know how to do but on a larger scale: - Leading a high-visibility project - Free throws to win a big game - Working with your first paid client Stay out of your own head and you’ll come out on top.

Teamwork is the collective selflessness of a group of people to achieve a goal that benefits that group and, in most cases, other groups as well. Build a team designed to help people AND yourself. You don’t have to choose one or the other.

Give yourself 3 months. 3 months of daily, focused study. 3 months of no going out unnecessarily. 3 months of moving towards your goal. This got me to $100k and it can get you there too.

Questions give you clarity: - They get you to the root of the problem you're trying to solve - Once you understand the problem you can understand the definition of success. - Once you understand the first two, you can put together the perfect action plan. ASK. QUESTIONS.

Create things. That doesn't mean you have to make videos and post them to the internet. You can create and be creative in tons of ways. If you're not creating, then you're not progressing.

Embrace being dumb. Ask questions. Don't worry about looking like an idiot. You can't truly learn and improve without removing ego. BE. DUMB.

Consistency is the foundation of success. There are examples everywhere, especially in sports. See the Pittsburgh Steelers, New England Patriots, Bayern Munich, Golden State Warriors… These organizations operate on consistency and minimize ego.

You are going to end up having difficult conversations and meetings throughout life. Those conversations get a lot easier if you can look back and say you worked hard on whatever the subject is. Don’t worry about impressing others. Impress yourself.

So many of us (including myself) get stuck in the content loop of: - build an online business - cold pitch a zillion people per day on your half-baked service - eventually people will say yes and you’ll make money There are A LOT of paths to $10k+ per month. Find YOUR path.

Try the "Reverse Funnel" method for leveling up your life, career, or business: Clearly define what "success" means and work backwards.

1 big lesson I learned this year: Being busy and making progress are not the same thing. I've been very busy this year and realized late that I have been treading water in the same spot. Better to figure it out late than never.

Never be afraid to question why you're doing a task or project. Getting down to the true "why" could save you/your company/your client valuable time and money.

Creativity can be found everywhere. Even in something as “boring” as bizops or project management.

Part of a project manager’s job description should be to actively prevent Friday afternoon meetings.
