Got the 20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition of the greatest comic book that’s ever been made. I don’t know why @JamesGunn doesn’t have a cartoon series of it in production right now but he should. Seriously, @grantmorrison and @frankquitely1 created a masterpiece that is miles beyond anything else.

This got me. @JamesGunn you beautiful human. The fact that he put White Rabbit in Peacemaker and made her canon is awesome. Seems a cool villain, even if it’s kinda silly here. Loved this!

Going through some old stuff and found some old pieces. All are for sale if you see anything you like. Fun little look back. All except the Moon Knight and Wolverine pieces are on 9”x 15” Image boards. (The best boards I’ve ever worked on.) Bomb Queen piece was printed in the Trump Card tpb.

Another smudge glove bites the dust. I’m going to have to start a whole separate fund just for gloves. I’m going through about a glove a month now. Which means I’m drawing a ton. Luckily I have 3 or 4 more in reserve. I can’t draw without it.

The humidity change lead to a pencil lead change. Drawing with F lead felt like I was penciling with a razor blade. Had to bump to 2B just to get that smooth glide again. Sheesh!

Free hand inking a spaceship feels wrong and disgraceful and unnatural. Yet I’m doing it to try and preserve some bounce in my lines. We’ll see if it works….if not, out come the rulers and templates.

I don’t think I’ve ever shown these. I use them to track progress on any book I’m working on. It lets me know what I’ve done, what I need to do, what I didn’t like and need to revisit, everything. It keeps me organized as I work through this massive undertaking.

Working on a cover and my editor digs everything about it but one thing isn’t landing. I’ve done multiple revisions and I keep getting the same note back. I can’t decide if I should keep sending in revisions, or just do the entire cover and hope that with the rendering and details in it will land.

Quick life update: Went in for major spinal surgery this past Friday. While I was undergoing the surgery, my mother passed away. Luckily she was surrounded by her siblings when she took her last breath. I cut my post op stay short to plan her funeral. So it’s been a tough week.
