Bluesky is doing wonders for my social media addiction. Every time I click a “new follower” notification, it turns out to be a spammy account. 😡 Thus extinguishing my app-use impulse just a bit each time. Woohoo?

Apple TV+ is free this weekend. My utterly biased suggestion: Little America. Every ep is a short film based on true stories of immigrants to America. Some are funny, some are moving, some are thrilling. We wanted to make a show about immigrants that was, before all else, entertaining.

I have this weird thing where when I get to the part of a book/film that is too exciting/stressful, I have to stop it and walk away. I’m not a “omg what happens? Tell me now!” person. I’m a “let’s go away, calm down, and come back to process the next pages/seconds bit by bit, if at all” person.

Need advice. Kept getting TikTok “your account logged in from new device” emails but I don’t have a TikTok account. After a couple years of this I started to get worried. So I logged into TikTok with my email fearing something nefarious...

I hate people who respond "Correct" to just mean "yes" or "I agree". It makes you sound like an snobby arbiter of truth lording over the other person, when really what you're trying to say is, "Totally!"

I rarely used Twitter, but because of the whole X fiasco I moved to Threads and Bluesky. Now I use Twitter more than ever before because I’d go to Threads/Bluesky and find a whole bunch of nothing or toxic stuff, and by contrast Twitter now seems wonderful.
