Saw SUPERGIRL a few days ago. Seems like people aren’t liking it, but I enjoyed it. Not sure what people were expecting, but it was fun and she’s great as Supergirl. Now I can’t wait for CLAYFACE.

MKE Film Fest: Days 5, 6, & 7 Blue Heron might be the best thing I’ve seen halfway through the festival. There have been some great films so far, but that one had incredible craft and storytelling.

MKE Film Fest: Day 4 It’s been a great weekend. A couple of documentaries about very unique people and then of course a film about a ghost that possesses a vacuum cleaner.

MKE Film Fest: Day 3 I will always treasure the barf bag they gave us all at the Bay of Blood screening last night. I will also never be able to resist seeing Midnight Shorts with like-minded weirdos.

My preliminary, handwritten Milwaukee Film Fest schedule is finished. Color-coded spreadsheet currently in the works. Man we need some festival time around here, if for nothing else, catharsis and a fun time on the calendar.

Absolutely crushed to hear about Sam Kieth. When I was younger and discovering illustration, and obsessed with Todd McFarlane, Jim Lee, Erik Larsen…all the Image Comics guys, he was a totally different style that I found fascinating. A great artist. Always fun to see his take on a character.

Green Acres, Beverly Hillbillies, and Hooterville Junction! It warms the heart of this Gen-X person to see Paul Thomas Anderson honored after all this time. He is the greatest American filmmaker of my generation. He never misses. I honestly agree with every award they gave out tonight.

This list of films looks incredible. Excited for all the Hooligante films. I’m especially happy that we will get to see A BAY OF BLOOD on a big screen with a crowd. More Giallo for everyone! 🔪💛🇮🇹🤌

Sometimes the best escape is a horror film. UNDERTONE was genuinely scary, which is tough to do. Was excited to catch this one coming out of Sundance and it absolutely was worth the wait.

REMOVE HIM FROM OFFICE. Choose any of a thousand reasons. People are dying. People are suffering. A lot of what he does is in fact illegal. We are all made less safe by allowing him to have any power.

One of my most anticipated film of the year. Loved her first two movies so much and am excited for her take on slasher horror films.

Seeing the news about the passing of Tom Noonan made me immediately think about how good the film House of the Devil is and how perfect he was in it. I’ll never forget seeing that at a midnight screening, knowing nothing about it, and being blown away.

A Knight of The Seven Kingdoms is just genuinely good television and storytelling. The story is simple where it needs to be and achingly complex when it means to be something greater. I’ve truly enjoyed this show and can’t wait for the last episode of the season.

So…Welcome to Derry. How fun and good was that first season?! Clever and interesting details and universe history without adding too much that would steal from the central story’s charm. Overtly connecting IT and The Shining makes me want to re-read both books. Rich is an all-time King universe hero

I simply can’t imagine the East Side without this restaurant. Strange Town is one our all-time favorites. If you’re not sure how much you’ll enjoy an all-vegan menu, I personally assure you that you’ll love it. For dessert try the vegan chocolate cake. It is incredible.

It’s cool that Hugh Jackman came to Milwaukee and had adventures and visited the Oriental Theatre….but I saw a real hero at that same theater several times including back-to-back nights exactly 15 years ago according to my social media memories. Long live Tommy Wiseau, a true Hollywood legend. 🌹💃🏈🥄

We saw THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE in a theater tonight. I’ve seen it before and on a big screen before, but it always feels like a treat. My feeling every time is that I can’t understand how anyone could watch that film and not walk out as a vegetarian. 😬

It is reassuring to know that Pennywise The Dancing Clown 🎈 will never steal my Guinness while it is being protected by Maturin the Turtle.
