Seeing the news about the passing of Tom Noonan made me immediately think about how good the film House of the Devil is and how perfect he was in it. I’ll never forget seeing that at a midnight screening, knowing nothing about it, and being blown away.

A Knight of The Seven Kingdoms is just genuinely good television and storytelling. The story is simple where it needs to be and achingly complex when it means to be something greater. I’ve truly enjoyed this show and can’t wait for the last episode of the season.

So…Welcome to Derry. How fun and good was that first season?! Clever and interesting details and universe history without adding too much that would steal from the central story’s charm. Overtly connecting IT and The Shining makes me want to re-read both books. Rich is an all-time King universe hero

I simply can’t imagine the East Side without this restaurant. Strange Town is one our all-time favorites. If you’re not sure how much you’ll enjoy an all-vegan menu, I personally assure you that you’ll love it. For dessert try the vegan chocolate cake. It is incredible.

It’s cool that Hugh Jackman came to Milwaukee and had adventures and visited the Oriental Theatre….but I saw a real hero at that same theater several times including back-to-back nights exactly 15 years ago according to my social media memories. Long live Tommy Wiseau, a true Hollywood legend. 🌹💃🏈🥄

We saw THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE in a theater tonight. I’ve seen it before and on a big screen before, but it always feels like a treat. My feeling every time is that I can’t understand how anyone could watch that film and not walk out as a vegetarian. 😬

It is reassuring to know that Pennywise The Dancing Clown 🎈 will never steal my Guinness while it is being protected by Maturin the Turtle.

I’ve always loved movie posters and the ones that stood out to me were literal pieces of art. I didn’t know as a kid, but most of those that I loved were painted by Drew Struzan. His style was original and then often imitated. I admire his art so much.

THE LONG WALK. Dang. That film really got to me. It feels very much an evergreen story about humans, but it also feels very uniquely about our country in this time. It’s a warning that I hope people take note of for the future while also being a judgement of our recent past. Great film.

Do I imagine the new Tron: Ares will be a good movie? Not really, but I loved the original film so much and the cast looks great and I already love the NIN score and the visuals in the trailer look incredible, so I guess I’m going to see it for sure.

It’s hard to describe just how obsessed my brother and I were with Spuds Mackenzie when we were maybe 9 or 10 years old. It was just unbelievable to us that this docile dogs lived this fantastical life. 🐶🍺

WEAPONS. What a ride! Really impressive writing construction, direction, and editing. It told so much story in a lot of little ways.

I liked Thunderbolts*. It was fun, people liked it, but to me it felt kind of small. The Fantastic Four I absolutely LOVED! It’s beautiful looking, the characters are all great, and the world and story feel immense. I wished I could pause so many times just to look at the visuals for longer.

Not sure how I’m supposed to fall asleep when I can’t stop thinking about everything about Eddington. The kind of movie I want to rewatch immediately after just seeing it.
