Queer botanist and lover of cool things in the sky (he/him)
Wild Colour opens tomorrow at the Canadian Museum of Nature and it features the Pride Flag I made for the institution. So proud and grateful to the museum for featuring this and my colleagues (especially Kasia and Morgan) for their help and love.

Thousands of workers cut from the federal public service, including scientists, researchers, and entire programs across environmental, wildlife, and health fields. This is a devastating blow to science and monitoring across Canada, and will have far-reaching impacts.

Love when a colleague attributes all your hard work to someone else because “they’re the expert in that taxonomic group”. Massive sigh.

I'm raffling off some beadwork to support Indigenous charity organizations in honour of
#OrangeShirtDay
. Tickets are 10$ each, 100% of ticket sales will benefit the Orange Shirt Society, the Indian Residential School Survivors Society and the East Van Friendship Centre.

These companies like to do their pink washing to make them sound like they’re the best place on Earth to work. A futuristic utopia that is great for all. Every year they participate in PRIDE events. This year, PRIDE organisers should bar them publicly. Meta employees should boycott the hypocrisy.
