I'm raffling off some beadwork to support Indigenous charity organizations in honour of #OrangeShirtDay. Tickets are 10$ each, 100% of ticket sales will benefit the Orange Shirt Society, the Indian Residential School Survivors Society and the East Van Friendship Centre.

Back in cell service after fieldwork on Axel Heiberg Island, Nunavut, and the plants were stunning!

It’s nice to be back in Nunavut. Currently in Resolute and tomorrow on to Axel Heiberg Island for two weeks of fieldwork.

10 km hike with a 9 kg pack - getting set for fieldwork is nice on such a lovely spring morning.

The urge for a new tattoo is strong. Thoughts for open feedback: trembling aspen leaves, constellations, craggy mountains, all of the above?

Happy place.

These companies like to do their pink washing to make them sound like they’re the best place on Earth to work. A futuristic utopia that is great for all. Every year they participate in PRIDE events. This year, PRIDE organisers should bar them publicly. Meta employees should boycott the hypocrisy.

First day back at work and the internet is down, so I’m spending it in the plant mines.

2024 in review: Lots of time in Alberta with family, fieldwork in Utah and Nunatsiavut, and lots of skywatching.
