I've entered the phase in life where as a dad I'm randomly interested in the american civil war. And as a D&D player, I'm scared I'm gonna fall into mini war recreation.

It's always nice to relax with friends. And then spend the next 24 hours rethinking everything you said and felt and did, overanalyzing your very existence around other people, spiraling down into a vortex of insecurity and self hatred.... ...We should do this again sometime.

People can pretend to be nice. Most people don't pretend to be assholes. If you keep hoping things are gonna be ok with someone who treats you like shit, cause sometimes they are nice, please understand they are not nice.
