The future is the past. Good friends of mine are quoted in this article, who built an adobe house that survived the Bobcat fire. I'm hoping they can start teaching as LA begins to rebuild.

Had a fabulous tomato crop this year, and with our first actual frost, I brought as much as I could of the rest. 🌱

A couple days late, but hey, Gil can eat pumpkin all November, too! 🌱

Outside last night with Penny in the main back yard, and came across one of these guys (not actual photo, it was too dark) hopping around! Another baby that escaped the raccoon attack living in the garden beds! Makes me feel so happy that these guys are out and about finding their way! 🌱

Lo and behold, a little tree frog is living in the veggy garden cage! No idea how he got there! Raccoons had eaten all my pond frogs, I can't fathom how he hopped the 100+ feet from there, but that's the only way! This garden is a mulch and damp paradise, he'll be able to over-Winter no problem. 🌱

Today is the 3 year anniversary to the #Bobcat Fire, which burned down our community, and everything around our house. We were fortunate not to lose the house itself. Attached is just one part of the garden that burned, and how it looks now. it's been a fascinating journey! 🌱
