After last week's humbling abject failure of a gym return that left me in so much pain by Wed that I couldn't move, I'm being gentler to myself & feel much better after today. This reminds me why I keep doing this - to be healthy. It's not about the numbers or impressing anyone but myself.

While we were away I decided that I was going to do a cardio day when I got back to my routine and Wednesday made the most sense. So cardio it was. Mixed incline, nothing too strenuous really. However with everything already being sore from the first two days back at the gym, my quads now hate me

Day 2. Quads and glutes on fire and chest aching but just pushing on and trying not to get dispirited by how much strength I have lost
