The Witcher 2 is too boring

The first major boss fight of The Witcher 2 is cool in theory but man the execution is iffy. Use your magic stun spell on the big tentacle! No, not that one you moron, the one next to it! NEVER that one. Also, a QTE!

The Witcher 2: the combat is brutal to start, but once you upgrade your dodge roll to go further it's a lot more fun. Geralt is a borderline immobile lump before the upgrades.

Just finished The Witcher 1. It holds up pretty well. I like the story and combat, even if both are jank as fuck. The music rules. Doug Cockle is great as Geralt and most of the rest of the cast is... pretty good. It's kind of crazy to think about what a jump in quality the series gets in 2 and 3.

The delivery of almost every story beat in The Witcher 1 is so rushed and jank. The cutscenes they have are always in the weirdest place and ruin the pacing. Nevertheless, it's pretty great. There's an enthusiasm and overeagerness to do specific things that's very charming.

Been playing The Witcher 1. Despite being almost 20 years old it has horrendous load times, which makes the incessant back and forth nature of the quests kind of excruciating. I like the combat, which seems to be the minority opinion. Doug Cockle is the best Geralt by far.

Final Fantasy 16 is just boring. It doesn't have enough characters that actually matter and the story is unbelievably turgid. Most of the boss fights I did were excellent and very cool. Most of the normal combat was pretty dull. Cid was annoying and Jill was profoundly underutilized.

FF16: I don't love the amount, and length, of cutscenes, but when the game lets you just run around a big area and fight monsters it's great. The boss fights are, so far, really good and cool. The voice acting is largely fine, but man the writing needs to calm down.
