On my way home through Wolseley I became invisible apparently as a driver almost ran me over. You have to be the world’s shittiest driver to not see me.

My daughter’s boyfriend captured my inaugural ride on my fat tire bike. Perfect for Winnipeg because the city doesn’t clear bike lanes often.

Been passing a fellow rider at the same spot for years. Always had him pegged as a teacher. A few weeks ago we passed at 7:45 pm after parent teacher interviews. I can always tell.

My Italian international students make fun of Canadian Italian food. Chicken parm. Not Italian. Their favourite Canadian food so far is garlic cheese toast. I said we serve that with Italian food and they laughed at me. I told them how I make carbonara. No no no apparently.

Anyway I’ll save a lot of money in the spring if the Jets keep this up.

Bike got a flat this morning. Walked the last 20 minutes. Gonna go to Pan Am at lunch to complete today’s triathlon.

Bird’s Hill tonight.

The apartment we rented in Yellowknife overlooked a place that had people coming and going at all hours. We saw some acts I didn’t need to see. 😳. I asked the cab drivers about it. “Worst place in Yellowknife” “I hate that place”. Anyway, it was good entertainment for 4 nights. 😂🤣

Northwest Territories.

Bought new shades from a Gwich’in fellow from Aklavik. Can’t wait to try them out on my next bike ride.

I’m in Yellowknife! I’ve now been to every province and 2 territories. Yukon remains.

The boys have 40oz of beer in them 20 minutes before we board our flight to Yellowknife. I’ve had to pee twice just watching them.

Had to drive a car to work today because of a field trip. 1st of maybe a handful all year. Biking is so much more enjoyable. I’ll brave the wind, rain, snow and cold to not be traffic and it only takes 15 more minutes to go 15km. Plus all the health and financial benefits.

If you’re at the plate with bases loaded one out and all you have to do is hit a routine fly ball to win the World Series and you don’t get it done that’s gotta haunt you forever. Shitty.

And what could be an epic sports day begins. If the sporting gods could see fit to give us a few wins I’ll take: 1. Blue Jays 2. Bombers 3. Jets

As Canada heads to game 7, these playoffs have been a great ride! The missus has watched every game beside me. And the fact that we can bitch together the next morning about how the Jays got screwed is next level marriage.

We have progressed from data collection to data analysis.

This morning on my ride I was envious of those who aren’t sports fans. They don’t lose sleep. They don’t despair about a team. Then tonight the Jays win. The Jets win. I’ll take the agony of defeat if I can get nights like tonight.
